"It isn't often that I will actually sit down and write a supplier when he has DONE GOOD! Usually that only encourages him to increase hi sprice! I don't believe I have ever taken the time to send an "atta boy" letter to a company I only did business with once! However, after receiving a BE-2 with power tow adapter and a WEDGE-Loc Link as birthday presents from my wife of 38 years, I was moved to act.
This precious woman, a person of obvious, long standing good taste, was listening to me speak to a friend about the damage I constantly do to our Baron's front wheel and gear leg, every time I hook my power tow to it. I just had our plane painted and already, it looks "old" in this area despite my constant efforts to be as careful as possible.
I am not a member of ABS, although I have considered it many times, My wife saw your ad in a friend's copy and remembering what she overheard, just took a chance and ordered both products.
My other problem, which I was always complaining about, was having to start the engines and taxi over a mile to the gas dock and then start them again and taxi back. Or, even worse, stop at the dock after returning and the trying to re-start the hot engines! Well when I saw the products first hand the first thing I said was, "honey, I don't know if these things will do what they are supposed to, but they are beautifully made".
I couldn't believe it when I first tried them. I have no more damage problems and now I actually look forward to towing the plane down to the gas dock with the Suburban and gassing it up.
I went to your website and read Alan Devore's letter. That is exactly how I feel, and I too would have spent twice what these tow products cost to avoid the old damage and inconvenience! It is so nice to receive something that looks so beautiful and performs exactly as advertised (it reminds me of Lorrie). I can't believe that no one has thought of this concept before. To be honest, I can't understand why Beech doesn't use your products as standard equipment, instead of that cheesy tow bar they include with these nearly 1 million dollar Barons!
Keep up the great work and rest assured that you have another roving ambassador of good will spreading the word!

"My mechanic had been complaining about my use of a PowerTow tug to move my B36TC Bonanza around, but my back complained if I didn't use the tug. The tug squeezed the protective ring seal for the bearings on the front wheel and caused the seal to deform and wrap itself around the bearing. As the wheel rolled, the seal would chafe the wheel half and remove metal. My mechanic told me if that kept happening I would get to buy a new wheel half. I came up with the great idea that someone should develop an attachment that the PowerTow could latch to. I also thought the attachment could solve the problem of the PowerTow being offset all the time such that it did not track properly. I thought of your new towbar design that I had seen in a magazine and speculated it could be adapted to create the attachment I had thought of. Imagine my surprise when I called you and suggested you create such a device. You, of course, told me that you were already marketing the attachment with the name WEDGE-Loc Link. I was thrilled and ordered one on the spot.
I LOVE IT!!!! I figure I have already paid for it by saving myself the cost of a new wheel half, but even without that benefit I still think it is worth every penny of the purchase price. The PowerTow now tracks perfectly and is much easier to use. Any Bonanza/Baron owner with a PowerTow tug who does not buy your WEDGE-Loc Link is either unaware of the benefits or is a total fool. I prefer to think that anyone who would choose a Bonanza/Baron would not be a fool, so I suppose that leaves ignorance as the excuse. I hope owners like me can become educated in the benefits of your product and save themselves the money and frustration of living without a Wedge-Loc Link. I am telling my friends (some of whom may fall into the fool description).
Thanks for thinking of the WEDGE-Loc Link before I did and putting it on the market. Since I already own one, I now feel safe telling you I would have paid twice as much to have someone build a similar device as I paid you to deliver a fully tested and beautifully manufactured model to my doorstep. I hope for your sake and the sake of all the Bonanza/Baron owners out there that you sell thousands of these little jewels."

With Linn's WEDGE-Loc, you don't have to remove any parts from the power tow; you get that rock solid connection, and the quick disconnect as well. Be careful, with the nylon cups of the Power tow, and especially the metal cups, you will:
- 1) chip the wheel, and
- 2) probably damage the wheel bearings.
I had both happen, had the plane re-painted, and promptly bought the WEDGE-Loc. I've otherwise been very happy with the performance and reliability of the Power Tow.

I've had a Redline Towbar, which slides inside the front axle, for some time and find I use it much more often than the earlier one I bought which attaches to the nose gear pins on the Baron. The earlier unit has been bent by some line person at some point - I can't see myself ever damaging the Redline, as it's built much stronger. I fully appreciat the frangible nature of the towing pin - and do carry a couple spares in the plane. Using this tow bar, I don't think I'll be needing them really soon.
I've recently added an adaptor made by Redline, which is called the 'Stiffy,' to my nose compartment grouping of ground handling and cleaning tools!
So what's a Stiffy, you'll probably ask. It's a neat concept and a fine device. So cool!
I have no financial connection with Linn Kastan, and the creator and builder of these fine products. Linn has a long standing connection with Australia, however, from having helped introduce BMX bikes to the country many years ago, and he likes fishing in our waters. And I like the guy and his products.

We received the BE-3 & S-3 towing adaptor yesterday and we love it already! Thanks very much for a great product, the packing was excellent and the finish on it is very proffessional.
